What We'll Cover
How to check your connection status
Fixes for blocks not appearing or events not syncing
How to re-authorise the connection and fix duplicates
Most sync issues are a permission problem, a stale connection, or a calendar conflict. Work through the sections below in order.
Start here: check the connection status
Go to Profile โ Integrations. Look at the Google Calendar entry. If it shows as Connected, the integration is active. If it shows as Disconnected or has a warning icon, skip to the re-authorisation section below.
Blocks not appearing in Google Calendar
If you create a time block in Aftertone and it does not appear in Google Calendar within a few seconds:
Check your internet connection. Sync requires an active connection on both sides.
Make sure you are looking at the correct calendar in Google Calendar. Aftertone creates blocks on the primary calendar associated with the account you connected.
If the block appeared once but then disappeared, check whether another tool or person has delete access to your calendar.
โ ๏ธ Note โ Aftertone syncs to the Google account you authorised during setup. If you have multiple Google accounts, make sure you are checking the right one in Google Calendar.
Google Calendar events not appearing in Aftertone
If events you have in Google Calendar are not showing in your Aftertone planning view:
Go to Profile โ Integrations, Google Calendar and check which calendars are enabled. Only calendars you have toggled on will appear in Aftertone.
All-day events from Google Calendar appear in Aftertone but at the top of the day view, not as time blocks. If you are looking for them as blocks, they will not be there.
Newly created events in Google Calendar can take up to 30 seconds to appear in Aftertone. If it has been longer than that, try the steps below.
How to re-authorise the connection
This fixes the majority of sync problems:
Go to Profile โ Integrations.
Click Disconnect next to Google Calendar.
Wait 10 seconds.
Click Connect and follow the authorisation steps again.
Wait 30 seconds for your existing events to populate.
Duplicate blocks appearing in Google Calendar
If you see two copies of the same block in Google Calendar, you likely had the same calendar connected twice during a re-authorisation. Go to Profile โ Integrations, disconnect, and reconnect once. The duplicates from the old connection will remain in Google Calendar and need to be deleted manually โ Aftertone cannot remove events it did not create in the current session.
Still not working
If you have tried the steps above and sync is still not working, email support@aftertone.io with a description of what you are seeing and the email address on your Google account. The team typically responds within a few hours.
๐ Check now โ Go to Profile โ Integrations and confirm Google Calendar shows as Connected with the correct calendars toggled on.
