How to Cancel Reclaim AI
Written By The Aftertone Team
Why people leave Reclaim AI
Reclaim AI automatically defends your calendar -- focus blocks, habit time, meeting scheduling. It does that one thing well. The ceiling is everything around it: no task management layer, no focus mode for the sessions themselves, no weekly report that shows whether the defended time actually produced real work.
Before you cancel Reclaim AI
A few things worth checking before you close the account:
Export your tasks and data. Most Reclaim AI data can be downloaded from Settings. Look for an Export or Backup option and save a CSV โ you'll want this before the account goes read-only.
Check your billing date. Cancelling stops the next charge, but you usually keep access until the current period ends. There's no need to rush the switch.
Note any integrations. If Reclaim AI is connected to Google Calendar, Slack, or other tools, those connections will stop working after cancellation. Reconnect them in your new app once you've switched.
How to cancel Reclaim AI
In Reclaim, go to Settings, then Account. Scroll to Subscription and click Cancel. You stay on the paid plan until the billing cycle ends.

What happens after you cancel Reclaim AI
Your Reclaim AI account stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You won't lose access immediately. Use that window to export your data and get set up somewhere new before the account closes.
If you're on an annual plan and cancel partway through, check Reclaim AI's refund policy โ some apps will prorate the unused months, others won't.
What Aftertone does differently
Aftertone handles the full loop. Tasks and calendar in one view, Auto Plan schedules intelligently, the Focus Screen protects each session, and the weekly flow report shows whether the time you defended was actually used for deep work.
How to get your data out of Reclaim AI
Step 1. Reclaim doesn't have a native task export. Go to Settings โ Tasks and note your task list.
Step 2. Export from the source tool Reclaim was syncing (Asana, Linear, Google Tasks) if you used integrations.
Step 3. Paste your open tasks into Aftertone's Smart Capture.
If you were using Reclaim's Habits feature, note your recurring commitments and add them as recurring tasks in Aftertone after setup.
How to set up Aftertone
2. Download Aftertone. Free 14-day trial at aftertone.io/get-started. No card required.
3. Connect Google Calendar. Your existing events pull in immediately. Your calendar and tasks are now in one view.
4. Plan your first week. Use Auto Plan to schedule your tasks. The weekly report will tell you at the end of the week whether it worked.
