Why people leave Todoist
Todoist is a reliable cross-platform task manager. The gap is the calendar layer -- no real time blocking, and the Google Calendar integration is read-only in most workflows. Users who want to plan when they'll do things, not just what they'll do, hit that limit quickly.
Before you cancel Todoist
A few things worth checking before you close the account:
Export your tasks and data. Most Todoist data can be downloaded from Settings. Look for an Export or Backup option and save a CSV — you'll want this before the account goes read-only.
Check your billing date. Cancelling stops the next charge, but you usually keep access until the current period ends. There's no need to rush the switch.
Note any integrations. If Todoist is connected to Google Calendar, Slack, or other tools, those connections will stop working after cancellation. Reconnect them in your new app once you've switched.

Go to todoist.com, click your avatar, Settings, then Account. Scroll to Subscription and click Cancel Pro.

What happens after you cancel Todoist
Your Todoist account stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You won't lose access immediately. Use that window to export your data and get set up somewhere new before the account closes.
If you're on an annual plan and cancel partway through, check Todoist's refund policy — some apps will prorate the unused months, others won't.
