How to Cancel Outlook Calendar
Written By The Aftertone Team
Why people leave Outlook Calendar
Outlook Calendar on Mac is noticeably heavier than alternatives when working solo or in a mixed-tool environment. It's a scheduling tool -- shows meetings and events but has no task planning layer, no time blocking, and no focus tools.
Before you cancel Outlook Calendar
A few things worth checking before you close the account:
Export your tasks and data. Most Outlook Calendar data can be downloaded from Settings. Look for an Export or Backup option and save a CSV โ you'll want this before the account goes read-only.
Check your billing date. Cancelling stops the next charge, but you usually keep access until the current period ends. There's no need to rush the switch.
Note any integrations. If Outlook Calendar is connected to Google Calendar, Slack, or other tools, those connections will stop working after cancellation. Reconnect them in your new app once you've switched.
How to cancel Outlook Calendar
Outlook Calendar is included with Microsoft 365. Cancel your Microsoft 365 subscription at account.microsoft.com/services.

What happens after you cancel Outlook Calendar
Your Outlook Calendar account stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You won't lose access immediately. Use that window to export your data and get set up somewhere new before the account closes.
If you're on an annual plan and cancel partway through, check Outlook Calendar's refund policy โ some apps will prorate the unused months, others won't.
What Aftertone does differently
Aftertone syncs with Google Calendar and builds a proper planning system on top. If you're moving away from Outlook, move your calendar events to Google Calendar first -- then Aftertone pulls everything in and adds tasks, time blocking, a Focus Screen, and weekly reports.
How to get your data out of Outlook Calendar
Step 1. Outlook Calendar syncs to Exchange or Microsoft 365 โ your events are already in your account.
Step 2. Connect your Microsoft account to Aftertone (via calendar settings) and events pull in immediately.
Step 3. If you have tasks in Microsoft To Do or Outlook Tasks, export them: open To Do, go to Settings โ Export data, download the CSV.
Aftertone connects to Google Calendar. If you use Outlook, you can sync Outlook to Google Calendar first, or contact Aftertone support about direct Outlook connection.
How to set up Aftertone
