How to Cancel Notion Calendar
Written By The Aftertone Team
Why people leave Notion Calendar
Notion Calendar requires Notion. That means you're dependent on Notion staying up, Notion's pricing staying reasonable, and Notion's roadmap continuing to invest in the calendar product.
Before you cancel Notion Calendar
A few things worth checking before you close the account:
Export your tasks and data. Most Notion Calendar data can be downloaded from Settings. Look for an Export or Backup option and save a CSV โ you'll want this before the account goes read-only.
Check your billing date. Cancelling stops the next charge, but you usually keep access until the current period ends. There's no need to rush the switch.
Note any integrations. If Notion Calendar is connected to Google Calendar, Slack, or other tools, those connections will stop working after cancellation. Reconnect them in your new app once you've switched.
How to cancel Notion Calendar
Notion Calendar is tied to your Notion subscription. In Notion, click Settings, then Plans. Downgrade to Free to cancel your paid subscription.
Go to Notion Calendar billing settings
What happens after you cancel Notion Calendar
Your Notion Calendar account stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You won't lose access immediately. Use that window to export your data and get set up somewhere new before the account closes.
If you're on an annual plan and cancel partway through, check Notion Calendar's refund policy โ some apps will prorate the unused months, others won't.
What Aftertone does differently
Aftertone is a standalone Mac app with no dependency on another platform. Tasks, time blocking, Focus Screen, and weekly reports in one place.
How to get your data out of Notion Calendar
Step 1. Notion Calendar is a calendar layer, not a task store. Your tasks live in Notion itself.
Step 2. In Notion, open your tasks database, click โฏ โ Export โ Export as CSV.
Step 3. Open the CSV, copy the task names and due dates, and paste into Aftertone's Smart Capture.
Connect your Google Calendar to Aftertone โ any events synced from Notion Calendar to Google will carry over automatically.
How to set up Aftertone
2. Download Aftertone. Free 14-day trial at aftertone.io/get-started. No card required.
3. Connect Google Calendar. Your existing events pull in immediately. Your calendar and tasks are now in one view.
